Biography

Dr. Sneed is an instructor in the Online Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at Ïã½¶´«Ã½. Dr. Sneed has been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas for over 13 years. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses for counseling and psychology since 2011.

Dr. Sneed graduated with his doctorate in counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2017, completing specialty tracks in both child and adolescent counseling as well as couple and family counseling. Much of Dr. Sneed’s clinical experience is within the community mental health field working with severe and persistent mental illness and crisis, though he has also worked in private practice. His skills in research helped him transition into program evaluation and healthcare analytic roles, where he has worked to help inform legislation and policy within the community mental health and intellectual disabilities systems. Additionally, Dr. Sneed works with children and families of grief through a local Campfire organization where he serves as lead therapist for their annual summer grief camp.

Dr. Sneed has presented at state and regional conferences on counseling student development and online counseling education in addition to utilizing outdoor camps for working with grief.
